Sunflower MAS 86 CP is a mid-early, high-yielding linoleic-type hybrid developed using Clearfield® Plus technology, providing genetic resistance to the herbicide Evolight Plus. This hybrid exhibits high plant vigor, quickly closing rows and actively building vegetative mass by the four-leaf stage. The vegetative period ranges from 106 to 115 days, and the 1000-seed weight reaches 55 grams. Plant height is medium, and the flower head is convex, promoting good insect pollination and stable yield formation.
MAS 86 CP is adapted to various soil-climate conditions in Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe, with particular drought tolerance, confirmed by successful cultivation under harsh steppe climate conditions. The hybrid demonstrates high drought resistance and tolerance to common sunflower diseases, including false powdery mildew, Phomopsis, and stem and head rot. Resistance to Sclerotinia covers five races (A–E), enabling effective protection of crops in regions with aggressive parasite races.
One of the key advantages of MAS 86 CP is its high and stable oil content of 47–50%, ensuring high profitability even at yields ranging from 16 to 34 centners per hectare across various regions of Ukraine. The recommended planting density varies from 50,000 to 60,000 plants per hectare depending on soil moisture. Due to its combination of high productivity, stress and disease resistance, and adaptation to Ukrainian conditions, MAS 86 CP is a reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality sunflower harvest.
