MAS 870G is a linoleic sunflower hybrid with very high yield potential and good adaptability to various growing conditions. It belongs to the mid-season varieties with a vegetative period of 112-116 days and is characterized by high stature. The flower head is slightly convex, the 1000-seed mass is 60-65 grams, and oil content reaches 50%. Recommended growing zones are the Forest Steppe and Steppe of Ukraine.
The hybrid exhibits excellent phytosanitary status and high resistance to major sunflower diseases. MAS 870G shows drought and lodging resistance rated at 8, tolerance to downy mildew (5 resistance levels A-E), false powdery mildew (RM9), fomopsis (9), stem and head rot (8), and verticillium wilt (7).
