Matrix

Sunflower Matrix is an early-maturing oilseed hybrid developed by Romanian breeders of Quality Crops. Its vegetation period is 105-107 days, allowing for harvest within a short time. The hybrid is adapted to herbicide-based technology using tribenuron-methyl (Granstar, Express), ensuring high weed resistance and ease of agronomy. Plants reach a height of 150-175 cm, promoting good development and yield formation.

Matrix features high yield potential up to 4.2 t/ha (42 c/ha) and oil content in seeds at 49-51%. The hybrid demonstrates excellent resistance to drought, lodging, and shattering, as well as to a wide range of diseases including downy mildew (all A-F strains), fomopsis, rust, powdery mildew, gray mold, and white mold. Thanks to these qualities, sunflower Matrix consistently delivers high performance even under challenging climatic conditions in the Forest Steppe and Steppe regions of Ukraine.

The recommended planting density for optimal yield is 50-55 thousand plants per hectare in the Forest Steppe and 40-50 thousand in the Steppe. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in areas with various soil-climatic conditions, making it a universal choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality oilseed with good oil content and stable yield.
