Sunflower HA 981

HA 981 is a mid-early simple hybrid sunflower developed in accordance with modern requirements for resistance and yield. The vegetation period is 110-113 days, allowing effective cultivation in various soil-climatic zones. Plants reach a height of 160-165 cm, have slightly convex flower heads with a diameter of 20-22 cm and a semi-tilted position. Oil content in seeds is at the level of 48-50%, making this hybrid attractive for oil production.

The HA 981 hybrid is characterized by high heat and drought resistance, ensuring stable yields even under adverse weather conditions. It exhibits very high resistance to lodging and shattering, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses. Additionally, the hybrid shows high tolerance to herbicides in the imidazolinone (IMI) group, without showing external signs of intoxication, enabling effective weed control without harming the crop.

In terms of disease resistance, HA 981 demonstrates high resistance to major sunflower pathogens, including phomopsis, phomopsis, rust, false powdery mildew, gray and white rot, as well as sunflower downy mildew and sunflower moth. The recommended plant density at harvest is 55-60 thousand per hectare in the forest-steppe zone and 50-55 thousand per hectare in the steppe zone. The potential yield of the hybrid reaches 5.0 t/ha, with an average yield based on trials of 3.6 t/ha, confirming its high productivity and adaptability.
