The hybrid sunflower DAY CLP is a medium-early, intensive variety with high drought resistance and lodging resistance. Plants reach an average height of 160–180 cm, have large, thin heads that dry quickly. Seeds are black, large, with a 1000-seed mass of about 51.8 g. The hybrid is characterized by high oil content in seeds, reaching 43.7–50%, making it attractive for oil production.
DAY CLP is resistant to five strains of downy mildew (ABCD E) and the herbicide Euro-Lightning Plus, allowing for minimal and zero-tillage cultivation. Due to its adaptability and resilience to dry conditions, the hybrid demonstrates stable high yields with potential exceeding 40 centners per hectare when intensive cultivation methods are followed. This makes it suitable for cultivation in various regions, including the Central Chernozem, North Caucasus, Middle Volga, Lower Volga, Ural, and West Siberian regions.
The hybrid DAY CLP is recommended for use with the herbicide Euro-Lightning Plus, which provides effective weed control and contributes to high productivity. Its drought and downy mildew resistance, along with high oil content, make this sunflower a profitable choice for farmers aiming to achieve stable, high-quality yields under various climatic conditions.
