Fundator

Foundation is a high-yielding sunflower hybrid with high resistance to various diseases and stress factors. It features high oil content, reaching 49-52%, ensuring high oil yield upon processing. The hybrid is resistant to downy mildew, false powdery mildew, fomopsis, sclerotinia, and other diseases, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under various soil-climate conditions, including Western and Central Ukraine. Foundation belongs to the medium-early or early-maturing hybrids with a vegetative period of about 105-110 days. Plants reach a height of 165-170 cm, have flat or convex flower heads with a diameter of 18-20 cm, which may be downward or semi-downward oriented. The hybrid is resistant to herbicides of the imidazolinone and tribenuron-methyl groups, facilitating weed control and reducing protection costs. Drought resistance and high resistance to lodging and shattering ensure stable yields even under adverse conditions. Foundation's yield potential reaches 5.6 t/ha, with an average yield over test years of about 3.8 t/ha. Recommended planting density varies by region: 50-55 thousand plants per hectare for forest-steppe zones, 45-50 thousand plants per hectare for steppe zones. Due to its agronomic characteristics and disease resistance, this hybrid is a profitable and reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality sunflower yields.
