Sunflower THOR CL (THOR 7+, NS 7749) is an ultraprecoce hybrid developed for high yield and oil content. The vegetation period is 90-95 days, allowing earlier harvest and planning for subsequent crops. Plant height ranges from 140 to 165 cm, ensuring good stability and development. Potential yield reaches 5.0 tons per hectare, and oil content in seeds is in the range of 49-52%, providing additional profitability during processing.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including false powdery mildew, white and gray rot, fomopsis, rust, downy mildew, alternaria, septoria, and charcoal rot. Special attention is given to resistance to downy mildew, where the hybrid is protected against 7+ races (A–G+), significantly reducing yield losses in areas with severe phytosanitary conditions. Seeds are treated with growth stimulators and fungicides, promoting better plant development and protection against pathogens.
THOR CL is characterized by high drought resistance, rated at 9 out of 9, as well as a strong root system, making it suitable for cultivation under various climatic conditions, including dry regions of Ukraine. The hybrid is adapted for cultivation using the herbicide Granstar, simplifying crop management and enhancing production efficiency. Flexible seeding rates allow optimization of planting according to specific soil moisture and soil conditions, ensuring stable and high yields.
