The early to mid-early hybrid sunflower ES Candimis CL has a high oil content, reaching 47–49%. Plants grow to a height of 160–165 cm, with a flower head diameter of 20–23 cm. The vegetation period varies from 105 to 110 days, featuring rapid early growth and optimal sowing timing, which promotes effective crop development.
ES Candimis CL exhibits high resistance to a wide range of diseases, including Phomopsis, head and stem sclerotinia, verticillium, black mold, and false powdery mildew. The hybrid possesses genetic resistance to seven sunflower flea beetle species, significantly simplifying crop protection and enhancing yield stability. Due to its tolerance to the herbicide Evrolighting, this variety is suitable for modern plant protection technologies.
The hybrid is adapted to various soil-climate conditions, including the Northern Steppe, Forest Steppe, and Polissia. It tolerates drought well and shows high productivity—up to 4.5 tons per hectare at a planting density of 50–65 thousand plants per hectare. ES Candimis CL is recommended for moderately intensive cultivation technologies, while it demonstrates even higher productivity in wetter regions and under intensive cultivation methods.
