Linen is a natural, eco-friendly fiber known for its unique properties and wide application in the textile industry. The presented creamy-colored linen with a pastel-beige print stands out for its special charm and aesthetic appeal. Made from this material are fashionable and comfortable summer items such as dresses, sarongs, skirts, shirts, pants, and shorts. Linen requires minimal care; however, to preserve its quality and color intensity, certain washing and drying rules are recommended: use alkaline detergents with minimal foaming, wash at a temperature no higher than 40 degrees, avoid wringing during hand washing, and dry items in the shade to prevent fading.
In addition to textile applications, linen is also an important agricultural crop. The variety of flax intended for oil and meal production is characterized by high yield — around 3.85 tons per hectare — and contains up to 44.5% oil. This medium-maturing variety, with a vegetative period of 80–85 days, is resistant to lodging, splitting of capsules, and seed shedding. Plant height reaches 55–60 cm, and the seeds are oval-shaped and yellow-orange. The high protein content (42%) makes this variety especially valuable for animal feed, particularly poultry, reducing cholesterol accumulation in eggs.
Linen is widely used not only for textile production but also for obtaining food and technical products such as linseed oil and flour. Due to its functional properties and ecological safety, linen occupies an important place in healthy nutrition and agriculture, making it a versatile and sought-after material across various sectors.
