The “Slavyanin” industrial hemp variety is a product of the research conducted by the Federal Scientific Center for Bast Fiber Crops. It is a specialized monoecious hybrid designed for industrial cultivation, focusing on biomass stability and oil content. The technical advantage of “Slavyanin” lies in its morphological uniformity, which is critical for mechanized harvesting and consistent raw material processing.

Agrotechnological indicators

• Vegetation cycle: 85–115 days. The maturation period allows the variety to adapt to moderate climate conditions, ensuring sufficient vegetative mass before critical temperature minimums occur.
• Morphological type: The monoecious nature of the crop eliminates the need for manual segregation of male and female plants, effectively shifting the cultivation technology into a fully automated cycle.
• Fiber content: Fiber yield ranges from 25–28%. These are high figures for bast fiber crops, ensuring profitability in the production of textile raw materials, construction composites, or pulp and paper products.
• Oil content: The seeds accumulate between 30% and 33% oil. This dual-use parameter makes the crop attractive for agricultural enterprises focused on zero-waste production cycles (obtaining seeds for food or industrial purposes alongside stalk processing).

Safety and Regulation

A key engineering decision in the breeding of “Slavyanin” was reducing the tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content to the lowest permitted levels. The genetic purity of the variety ensures full compliance with legislative standards, eliminating legal risks for agricultural producers and simplifying the certification process for finished goods. The variety was registered by breeders (A. A. Smirnov, O. N. Zelenina, N. I. Kozin) under the auspices of the Penza Agricultural Research Branch of the FSC for Bast Fiber Crops, which confirms its adaptability to the soil and climatic conditions of the region.
