Sunflower ES Bella is a classic early-maturing hybrid of French selection, developed by the company Lidea and widely recognized among farmers in Ukraine and the Black Sea region. This hybrid has a vegetation period of about 104 days and a plant height of 150-160 cm, ensuring resistance to lodging due to its strong stem. The flower head diameter is 20-24 cm, and the oil content of the seeds reaches 49-51%, making ES Bella attractive for oil production.
ES Bella hybrid exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases such as phomopsis, verticillium wilt, and sclerotinia, reducing the need for frequent fungicide applications. A special advantage of this hybrid is its genetic resistance to seven strains of flea beetles, allowing cultivation on fields with high infestation levels without the use of herbicides like Euralight. Thanks to this, ES Bella is suitable for various crop rotations and does not restrict the choice of subsequent crops.
ES Bella demonstrates high adaptability to growing conditions, ensuring a stable and high yield even under drought and adverse weather conditions. Recommended growing zones include Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polесье. The hybrid's yield reaches 4.5 tons per hectare, confirming its leadership in the sunflower seed market in the region. Due to its early flowering and short period from emergence to flowering, ES Bella can be sown either early or at the end of May — beginning of June, allowing efficient planning of agronomic activities.
