NS H 7640

Sunflower NS H 7640, also known as the Griffon hybrid, is an early-maturing simple IMI hybrid developed by the Serbian institute NS SEME in Novi Sad. This hybrid is specifically designed for Clearfield (EuroLighting) technology and exhibits high resistance to five races of downy mildew (A-E), as well as to major diseases such as fusarium, peronosporosis, and phomopsis. The vegetation period is 105-108 days, allowing for optimal harvest timing. Plants reach a height of 150-170 cm and have high yield potential — up to 50 c/ha (5 t/ha). Oil content of seeds ranges from 49 to 52%, making this hybrid attractive for producing high-quality oil products. The hybrid tolerates drought and frost well, ensuring stable yields under various climatic conditions, including steppe, forest-steppe, and polonies of Ukraine. Recommended planting density is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture, and 45-50 thousand plants per hectare under dry conditions. Due to its adaptive properties and disease resistance, sunflower NS H 7640 is suitable for cultivation across all of Ukraine, ensuring high yield and product quality when using modern agronomic technologies.
