Sunflower "Euro" is an early-maturing, intensive-type hybrid developed for cultivation in various soil-climate zones of Ukraine, including steppe and forest-steppe regions. It is characterized by high plasticity and adaptability, allowing successful cultivation under hot and dry climatic conditions. The vegetation period is approximately 110-113 days, corresponding to the medium-maturing type of hybrids.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to herbicides of the imidazolinone group, ensuring effective weed control when using Euro-Lightning and Sumo technologies. Additionally, "Euro" demonstrates good genetic resistance to seven races of sunflower downy mildew (A-G), significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. Plant height reaches 160-165 cm, and oil content in seeds is 48-50%, making this hybrid attractive for oilseed production.
The potential yield of the "Euro" hybrid reaches 5.6 tons per hectare (or 38-42 centners per hectare), confirming its intensive type and high productivity. Seeds are supplied in bags of 150,000 units, sufficient for sowing on 2.2-2.5 hectares, and undergo fungicidal treatment for disease protection. This hybrid from the company LISTS (Lugansk Institute of Selection and Technologies) is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve stable and high sunflower yields under modern agrotechnologies.
