Romantic is a high-oleic simple hybrid sunflower intended for oil production. It is characterized by stable high yield and high oil content in seeds, reaching 49-50%, as well as high oleic acid levels — around 86%. The hybrid belongs to the mid-early maturity group, enabling effective planning of harvest timing. Plants reach an average height of 165 to 185 cm, and the flower head diameter is approximately 22-24 cm, contributing to good formation of high-quality seeds.
One of the key features of Romantic is its high tolerance to common sunflower diseases, as well as resistance to 7 strains of Sclerotinia. The hybrid demonstrates good adaptability and resilience to various soil-climatic conditions, including drought tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine. Recommended cultivation zones include Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe, where the hybrid shows stable yields of up to 48 centners per hectare.
Romantic sunflower seeds are packaged in bags of 150,000 seeds, convenient for sowing and storage. Due to its combination of high oil content, disease resistance, and adaptability to climatic conditions, this hybrid is a profitable choice for farmers focused on producing high-quality, high-oleic sunflower oil.
