ES AMIS — early-maturing sunflower hybrid of French selection, intended for cultivation in the areas of Polesie, Forest-Steppe and Steppe of Ukraine. The vegetative period is from 90 to 105 days, which allows to obtain a harvest in a short time. Plants reach a height of about 160 cm, and the disk diameter varies from 22 to 23 cm, with a characteristic semi-downward position. The mass of 1000 seeds is about 60-62 grams, and the oil content in the seeds reaches 49%, which makes this hybrid attractive for the production of oil products.
The ES AMIS hybrid is distinguished by a very fast starting growth and high initial development energy, which ensures good germination and quick rooting. It has high resistance to drought (9 out of 10), lodging (9 out of 10) and downy mildew (resistance to five races). In addition, the hybrid demonstrates good tolerance to common sunflower diseases, such as phoma, phoma, sclerotinia and verticillium, with stability ratings from 7 to 8 points. These characteristics ensure stability and high productivity under various growing conditions.
To achieve maximum yield, it is recommended to observe optimal agronomic conditions, including balanced mineral nutrition, timely irrigation and early sowing dates. The optimal plant density is from 50,000 to 65,000 per hectare. Seeds of the hybrid are treated with fungicides Tiram and Apron XL, which additionally protects them from diseases and pests.
