Sunflower Carlos 115 is a high-yielding linoleic hybrid of intensive type, specially developed for oil-processing enterprises due to its high oil content in seeds, ranging from 48 to 52%. This hybrid is characterized by a medium-early maturity group and high yield potential, reaching 50-52 centners per hectare under optimal growing conditions. Plants reach a height of 160 to 180 cm, and the head diameter varies within 20-24 cm, ensuring significant production volume.
Carlos 115 exhibits high resistance to herbicides of the imidazolinone (IMI) group, allowing effective application of the Clearfield technology using specialized protective agents such as Evrolighting. The hybrid also shows resistance to five races of downy mildew (Peronospora), enhancing its reliability and yield stability under various soil-climatic conditions. Carlos 115 demonstrates maximum performance on fertile, well-managed soils where all agronomic requirements are met.
Moreover, sunflower Carlos 115 is distinguished by high drought tolerance and adaptability, making it suitable for cultivation in diverse regions of Ukraine. The head shape is flat with a semi-sloping inclination, and the seed moisture content is 20-22%, facilitating processing and improving the quality of the final product. Thanks to its combination of high productivity, disease resistance, and stress tolerance, this hybrid is an optimal choice for intensive sunflower oil production.
