SUNFLORA SL

Sunflower SUNFLORA SL® is a mid-early hybrid with a vegetation period of 116-120 days, possessing high yield potential. It is characterized by plasticity to growing conditions and is capable of adapting to various soil types, which allows for successful cultivation in different climatic zones. The hybrid demonstrates high initial growth energy, which contributes to rapid plant development at the beginning of the vegetation period.

One of the key features of SUNFLORA SL® is its high resistance to contact herbicides from the imidazoline group, such as Euro Lightning®, ensuring seedbed purity and effective control of pests, particularly sunflower stem nematode. Additionally, the hybrid exhibits good stem lodging resistance and medium resistance to most pathogenic diseases, while showing particular strength against powdery mildew and rots. This allows for earlier sowing, extending the vegetation period and promoting green mass accumulation until summer droughts occur.

To achieve stable and high yields, it is recommended to strictly observe sowing rates, taking into account regional features and soil moisture levels, as the hybrid does not tolerate excessive sowing density well. Optimal plant density at harvest should be 50-55 thousand plants per hectare. Furthermore, mineral fertilizer applications are necessary to improve productivity, especially on soils with adequate moisture levels.
