A 24

Sunflower A 24 is a medium-early hybrid intended for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine. It has a vegetation period of about 108 days and plant height up to 165 cm. The head of this hybrid is downward-leaning and has a diameter of about 23 cm, with a 1000-seed mass of 62 g. The hybrid is characterized by rapid early growth and high drought resistance, which contributes to stable yields even under stress and various soil-climatic conditions.

A 24 has high genetic resistance to major sunflower diseases, including five races of downy mildew (A, B, C, D, E), verticillium wilt, head and stem sclerotinia, as well as phomopsis and phomosis. Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to the herbicide "EuroLighting" (Clearfield®), which simplifies cultivation technology and weed control. The yield potential is approximately 50-55 centners per hectare, confirmed by test results.

The oil content in seeds of sunflower A 24 reaches 47-50%, making it valuable for producing high-quality oil. The high oleic acid content, characteristic of oil-type hybrids, provides oil with properties comparable to olive oil, which is especially in demand on the market. Due to its characteristics and resistance, hybrid A 24 is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain high and stable sunflower yields with quality oil.
