Clip is a mid-early hybrid sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) with a vegetation period of 100 to 124 days, ideally suited for cultivation in various regions, including the North Caucasus, Middle Volga, Lower Volga, Ural, and West Siberian. Plants reach a height of 160–180 cm and have convex-shaped medium-sized flowers. The hybrid exhibits high adaptability to growing conditions and resistance to lodging, ensuring stable yields across different climatic zones.
One of the key features of Clip is its resistance to herbicides in the imidazolinone group, enabling effective weed control without harming the crop. Additionally, the hybrid shows moderate resistance to a wide range of diseases, including downy mildew, gray and dry rot, rust, fomopsis, false powdery mildew, alternaria, sclerotinia, and fomosis. This comprehensive protection contributes to plant health and increased yield.
The Clip hybrid is characterized by high yield potential — up to 45 centners per hectare and more — as well as high oil content in seeds, reaching 50%. The 1000-seed mass ranges from 46.5 to 62 grams. Oil yield can reach 2.0–2.3 tons per hectare, making this hybrid attractive for oil production. Thanks to its combination of high productivity, resistance to stress and diseases, and adaptability, Clip is a reliable choice for modern farmers.
