Clip VO is a high-oleic sunflower hybrid developed for cultivation using herbicide technologies with imidazolinone-based preparations. It belongs to the mid-early maturity group with a vegetative period of about 109 days and is characterized by high resistance to herbicides such as "Pulsar", "Pivot", "Captor", "Euro-Lightning", and "Hermes". The hybrid possesses genetic resistance to downy mildew (including races A-E), false powdery mildew, frogepsis, stem rot, alternaria, and blossom blight, ensuring stable yields and reducing the risk of losses during cultivation.
Clip VO stands out for its high productivity potential, with a potential yield of up to 41 centners per hectare and average yields across various regions ranging from 14.9 to 39.6 centners per hectare. Seed oil content reaches 48%, ensuring high oil yield. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 46.5 to 62 grams. The optimal plant density at harvest is 50–55 thousand plants per hectare, which contributes to maximum production efficiency.
Special attention is paid to oil quality: oleic acid content in the oil reaches 86%, significantly enhancing thermal stability and storage life of the product. This makes the oil in demand both among producers and end consumers. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Southern, North Caucasus, Central, Volga, Ural, and Siberian Federal Districts, making it a universal solution for different climatic conditions.
