Sunflower VK 21-SUR

Focus on Ultra-Early Maturity and Reliability

VK 21-SUR is the choice for farmers working under tight time constraints. For those who value predictable vegetation, this sunflower variety completes its cycle in just 80–90 days. In operational terms, this means flexible sowing schedule planning and the confidence that harvesting will be completed before the autumn rains.

Field Characteristics and Agronomy

From an operator's perspective, VK 21-SUR shows consistent growth dynamics. Plant height ranges from 140 to 190 cm, which simplifies header adjustments and prevents excessive biomass that could complicate threshing. The medium-sized head facilitates grain separation during combine harvesting.

A critical practical aspect is resistance to Phomopsis. This is not just a line in the description, but a real reduction in fungicide application costs and assurance of crop safety under stress. The black, medium-sized seeds with an elongated spherical shape thresh well and provide a high bushel weight.

Sowing Economics

With an oil content of 45–50%, this hybrid is a profitable asset. Stable oil accumulation within a short vegetation cycle allows for high-quality produce even when sowing dates are shifted. The originator's support from VNIIMK guarantees line purity, reflected in uniform emergence and synchronized ripening across the field.

Practical experience proves that the variety is undemanding regarding harvest conditions, handles intensive operational loads easily, and seed parameters allow for the use of standard calibration settings. It is a predictable tool for those who do not want to risk their harvest in unstable climate conditions.
