Sunflower SUSANNA

SUSANNA is a mid-season and mid-early maturing hybrid sunflower variety, characterized by high yield and adaptability to various regions, including the Volga region. The vegetation period ranges from 105 to 117 days, ensuring early flowering and timely maturation. Plants have a height of 165 to 185 cm with semi-tilted flower heads, which facilitates effective pollination and harvest. The 1000-seed mass reaches approximately 61.8 g, indicating seed size and quality.

SUSANNA is characterized by high oil content in seeds — from 48 to 52%, with fat content around 50.4%. This makes the hybrid attractive for producing high-quality sunflower oil. Additionally, the variety exhibits high genetic resistance to major sunflower diseases, including false powdery mildew and race G of Sclerotinia, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss and enhancing production stability.

The hybrid responds well to high agronomic fertility and shows tolerance to stem lodging, which simplifies agricultural practices and increases cultivation efficiency. The recommended seeding rate is 40–60 thousand seeds per hectare, depending on moisture conditions. Due to its characteristics and resistance, SUSANNA is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high-quality sunflower yields.
