Sunflower Cascara is a mid-early, high-yielding hybrid, adapted to modern climatic conditions and cultivation practices in Ukraine. It features high productivity, reaching up to 55 centners per hectare, and high oil content in seeds — from 48 to 50%. Plants grow to a height of 160–180 cm, have large black seeds, and a flower head diameter of 18–22 cm, facilitating efficient harvest.
Hybrid Cascara exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including false powdery mildew, rust, fomopsis, white rot, and downy mildew (resistant to 6+ races A-G). Additionally, it shows excellent drought tolerance and stress resistance, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under Granstar (Express, Sumo) technology. Recommended planting density at harvest time is 50–55 thousand plants per hectare.
Thanks to its combination of high yield, disease resistance, and adaptation to changing climatic conditions, sunflower Cascara is an efficient and promising hybrid for modern agricultural enterprises. Its seeds are suitable for producing high-quality oil and ensure a stable, economically beneficial yield.
