Sunflower Cascara

Yield stability with Cascara by Agro7Trade

In modern agricultural conditions, selecting the right planting material is the deciding factor for profitability. The sunflower hybrid "Cascara" from "Agro7Trade" occupies a niche of reliable, mid-sized hybrids designed for farmers who prioritize predictable results and high oil content. This hybrid has established itself as a tool for minimizing risks when farming under moderate to high pathogen pressure.

Agronomic profile and resistance

One of the key features of Cascara is its pronounced genetic resistance to a complex of pathogens that traditionally affect sunflower crops. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to white mold and downy mildew. This allows for a significant reduction in expenditures on fungicide treatments, lowering the overall production cost per hectare.

• Protective barrier: effective against rust, phomopsis, various types of rot, and powdery mildew.
• Plant morphology: plant height ranges from 160 to 180 cm, providing comfortable conditions for mechanized harvesting with minimal seed loss.
• Quality indicators: seeds have a black color and large size, with oil content reaching 45–50%.

The medium-sized head of the Cascara sunflower is optimally balanced, contributing to uniform seed ripening even under the unstable weather conditions often encountered in late summer. The stability of this indicator makes the hybrid predictable for agronomists planning logistics and harvest timelines.

Market position and application

This product from "Agro7Trade" is aimed at intensive farming technologies, where the plant's potential is fully unlocked when crop rotation and optimal sowing rates are observed. Cascara finds its market appeal due to its adaptability to local soil and climatic conditions. It is a choice for farms seeking a balance between high yield potential and technological efficiency, without the unnecessary premium associated with imported breeding brands.
