Fodder beet Spartak

A stable harvest without surprises

Working with the 'Spartak' hybrid from Syngenta, agronomists get a predictable result, which is worth its weight in gold in sugar beet farming. This normal (N) type hybrid is ideal for those focused on the balance between sugar yield and root mass. The conical shape of the root is not just for show; it offers real convenience during mechanical harvesting, resulting in fewer losses, fewer breakdowns in loaders, and cleaner storage piles.

Crop health: a shield against diseases

The worst part of growing sugar beets is watching the field 'collapse' from diseases in the middle of the season. 'Spartak' demonstrates excellent resistance to a complex of pathogens. A powerful genetic barrier protects it against rhizomania, powdery mildew, cercospora, and ramularia. Field experience shows that with proper fungicide management, the crop stays green until harvest, which is critical for root development.

Economics and agronomy

Why choose 'Spartak'? First, the lack of hassle with root rots and oomycetes allows you to reduce costs for extra soil treatments and chemicals. Second, Swiss breeding by Syngenta delivers predictable germination. Operators note that when the sowing protocol is followed, the hybrid provides uniform, consistent emergence, simplifying subsequent maintenance. It is a rare case where the hybrid 'forgives' minor errors in agronomy while maintaining high yield potential.
