Crop Stability with 'Rakolta': Syngenta Genetics for Sugar Beet Fields

Sugar beet cultivation demands a hybrid that balances high sugar yield with resilience against complex pathogens. 'Rakolta' from Syngenta is a time-tested representative of the normal (N) type, preferred by farmers who prioritize predictable results in moderate-intensity farming systems. Although its selection roots trace back to Syngenta's UK laboratories (Grangemouth), its high adaptability has secured it a firm position in various international markets.

Agrotechnical Advantages

The primary advantage of 'Rakolta' is its balanced root development. Its conical shape not only facilitates efficient mechanical harvesting but also ensures optimal soil positioning, minimizing losses during extraction. As an N-type hybrid, it demonstrates excellent plasticity across different soil types while maintaining stable sugar content metrics.

Phytosanitary Resilience

In today's climate, characterized by unpredictable rainfall and temperature fluctuations, crop protection is a critical factor for profitability. 'Rakolta' provides comprehensive immunity against a wide range of threats:

• Rhizomania: Crucial resistance for regions with infested soils.
• Foliar Diseases: Effective resistance to Cercospora leaf spot and Ramularia, allowing for reduced fungicide application during the vegetative period.
• Rots and Rust: Genetic defense mechanisms that suppress the development of powdery mildew and oomycete root rots.

Choosing this hybrid is ideal for farming operations seeking the perfect balance between field security and yield performance. Syngenta has equipped 'Rakolta' with the essential traits that make it a reliable tool for agronomists aiming to mitigate harvest loss risks associated with high pathogen pressure.
