Diploid hybrid, created by the All-Ukrainian Scientific Institute of Selection (VNIIS).
The hybrid is resistant to powdery mildew, root maggots, cercosporosis, tolerant to ramulariosis, and has good suitability for mechanical harvesting.
The hybrid's seeds are single-embryo. Leaves are of medium size. The root crop is conical. The hybrid was obtained by crossing three separate-flowering (single-seeded) self-incompatible lines with one male-sterile maternal line, which self-pollinates. Combined collection of all crossing components allows the use of the resulting mixture, which includes only hybrid seeds, for factory planting.
During the testing period (1995-1997), the hybrid demonstrated:
Root crop yield, centners per hectare: 543
Sugar content, %: 17.9
Sugar harvest, centners per hectare: 86.0
The highest yield was recorded in 1996 at the Kytman DSV in the Chernivtsi region — 776 centners per hectare, which is 142 centners per hectare above the weighted average standard.
Recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe and Polissia zones.
