Sugar beet SMART ROZINKA KWS

Innovation in Sugar Beet Protection

The sugar beet hybrid "Smart Rodzynka KWS" represents the cutting edge of breeding from the German company KWS, designed to meet the modern challenges of industrial farming. As a central component of the CONVISO® SMART system, this hybrid offers growers a transformative approach to crop management, enabling efficient weed control and high yield stability.

Agronomic Profile

Classified as a normal-sugar type (NZ), this hybrid provides an optimal balance between root weight and sugar accumulation. To reach its full genetic potential, it requires an optimal harvest population of 85,000 to 95,000 plants per hectare. This density ensures uniform crop development, which is vital for efficient mechanical harvesting and processing performance.

Biological Resistance

A key focus during the development of "Smart Rodzynka KWS" was providing robust protection against the most common pathogens that typically threaten yield profitability. The hybrid demonstrates exceptional tolerance to the following diseases:

• Rhizoctonia – minimizes the risk of stand loss;
• Cercospora leaf spot – preserves leaf integrity until late in the season;
• Ramularia – protects the foliage under high-humidity conditions;
• Powdery mildew – reduces the necessity for multiple fungicide applications.

By choosing "Smart Rodzynka KWS," farmers are opting for a reliable partner in the field. It is an ideal solution for operations looking to reduce the pesticide load while maximizing yield quality through the advanced benefits of the KWS breeding program.
