FROST

FROST is a sugar beet hybrid developed by 'SoiusSemSveklo' selection, representing a high-yield crop with an oval-conical or cylinder-conical root shape. The fruit weight reaches approximately 700 grams, and the vegetation period ranges from 120 to 155 days, allowing for a stable harvest in various climatic conditions. The leaf rosette is semi-open with a moderately corrugated leaf blade, while the root system is a taproot penetrating to a depth of 2-2.5 meters, which promotes good plant nutrition and resistance to adverse factors. Sugar beet FROST is characterized by high resistance to major diseases such as cercosporosis, powdery mildew, root rot, and ramularia, as well as high drought tolerance and the ability to withstand cold conditions. Thanks to the relatively smooth surface of the root, soil adheres less during harvesting, which facilitates the harvest collection process. The sugar content of the crop reaches 18.6%, and the yield can be up to 83 tons per hectare, making it profitable for cultivation both for technical and feed purposes. The application of sugar beet FROST is diverse: it is used for sugar and molasses production, and also serves as a waste-free feed crop for animals. Additionally, the roots are suitable for culinary use, such as preparing borscht and kvass.
