Description
Sugar beet variety Ruteniia — a high-yielding classic hybrid developed in Ukraine and registered in 2023. It is intended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Polissia regions, making it the optimal choice for Ukrainian farmers. Seeds are supplied in batches of 1.5 million with certification documents, guaranteeing 100% authenticity. Delivery is via Nova Poshta or pickup is available from the manufacturer's warehouse in Kropyvnytskyi.
The Ruteniia hybrid features moderate initial growth and a vegetative period of about 210 days, which promotes optimal sugar accumulation in the roots. The root is broad-conical, deeply embedded in the soil (three quarters), facilitating harvest. The leaf rosette is semi-spread, ensuring uniform growth and disease resistance. The yield potential reaches 95 tons per hectare, with an average yield of 80–85 tons, and sugar content varies from 17.5% on average to 19.7% at potential.
The variety exhibits high resistance to major diseases and stress factors, including rhizomania, cercosporosis, powdery mildew, root rots, and pests such as root-eating insects. Ecological plasticity and drought tolerance allow for stable yields even under adverse climatic conditions. Seeds are pelleted and treated with insecticides and microfertilizers, ensuring protection and rapid germination. The recommended sowing rate is 70–75 thousand seeds per hectare in areas with insufficient moisture and 75–85 thousand in more humid regions.
