Herbicide RAMSEM 1 is a post-emergence systemic agent designed for the effective elimination of annual and perennial broad-leaved and grass weeds on sugar beet crops. The active ingredient of the product is rimsulfuron at a concentration of 250 g/kg, which belongs to the group of sulfonylurea derivatives. The product is released as a powder that easily disperses in water, ensuring ease of preparing the working solution and uniform application to plants.
The mechanism of action of the herbicide is based on blocking the enzyme acetolactate synthase, responsible for the synthesis of amino acids necessary for protein formation in plants. After penetrating the weed structure, the agent disrupts cell division and acid synthesis processes, leading to growth cessation and death of undesirable vegetation. The product affects both above-ground plant parts and rhizomes, ensuring comprehensive weed elimination, including species resistant to other herbicides.
RAMSEM 1 is characterized by high selectivity and does not exert a negative effect on crop plants when used according to the application regimen. It is recommended to use the product in the crop 1-7 leaf phase, diluting 1 g of herbicide with 6-8 liters of water per 200 sq. m of area. This allows for effective control of a wide spectrum of weeds, ensuring crop purity and increasing sugar beet yield.
