Description T 8614
T 8614 is a variety of sugar beet characterized by high yield potential and sugar content. The root crop has an oval-conical shape and is buried in the soil by about 85%, which contributes to its stability and quality. The leaf rosette is of medium size, dark green in color, and branched, ensuring good plant development. This variety is distinguished by its drought resistance, cold hardiness, various diseases resistance, and bolt resistance, as well as good storability, making it suitable for medium-term harvest.

Sugar beet T 8614 is a heat-loving and heat-resistant crop, optimally developing at temperatures of 20-22°C, but capable of effectively photosynthesizing even at temperatures above 40°C. The plant is very demanding on moisture, especially during the intensive growth of root crops in July-August. Thanks to a well-developed root system, capable of absorbing water from a depth of up to 2.5 meters, the beet withstands drought well, ensuring stability of the yield even under insufficient moisture.

All parts of sugar beet T 8614 are used without waste: sugar is obtained from root crops, and by-products such as pulp, molasses, and defect are widely used. Molasses is used for the production of alcohol, glycerin, citric acid, yeast, and organic acids. Defect serves as a valuable fertilizer, and pulp is a nutritious feed for farm animals. In addition, ethanol is obtained from sugar beet, which is used in gasoline production and can serve as an alternative to diesel fuel.
