Sugar beet variety Python is a diploid E-type hybrid with high yield potential and stable profitability. This mid-season hybrid has a vegetation period of 140 to 160 days, allowing successful cultivation in the Polissya and Forest-Steppe regions. The root has a conical shape with ridges, white-green color, and a weight ranging from 300 to 900 grams, with 90% of the root buried in the soil. The root flesh is white and juicy, with a sugar content of 17 to 18%, ensuring high-quality raw material for processing. Python exhibits resistance to major sugar beet diseases such as rhizomania and powdery mildew, contributing to plant health and stable yields. The crop is cold-tolerant but requires moisture, especially during seed germination and root formation. Simultaneously, the hybrid shows drought tolerance, making it adaptable to various climatic conditions. For optimal growth, soils with pH 6.5-7.5 should be limed. Seeds are sown at a depth of 6-7 cm when soil temperature reaches 6-8 °C. The seeding rate is 2 to 10 kg per hectare, with plant density at harvest of 85-100 thousand per hectare. Under proper agronomic practices, yields exceeding 100 tons per hectare can be achieved, confirming the high productivity and economic efficiency of the Python hybrid.
