Description Petr
Sugar beet variety Petr is distinguished by high yield potential and sugar content, making it in demand in agriculture for sugar and food industry production. The root has an oval-conical shape and is embedded in the soil approximately 85%, while the leaf rosette is of medium size with dark green coloration and spreading form. This variety is recommended for medium harvest timing and has good storability, ensuring crop preservation after harvest.

Sugar beet Petr exhibits high resistance to various diseases, including root rot, beet root maggot, rhizomania, and cercosporosis, confirmed by low disease ratings. Seeds are supplied in packages of 100,000 units, with recommended sowing rates ranging from 97,000 to 171,000 seeds per hectare. Sugar content of this variety reaches 20%, which is a good indicator for obtaining high-quality raw material.

Petr variety is adapted for cultivation in the forest-steppe and Polissia regions of Ukraine, showing resistance to drought and cold, thus expanding its application potential. Seeds are suitable for sowing both in open ground and in autumn. For storage, it is recommended to maintain temperature between +7 to +10°C and humidity not exceeding 10%, which allows preserving the seed material in optimal condition until sowing.
