Description BUFFEL
Beet sugar variety BUFFEL is a mid-late hybrid with high yield and sugar potential. This variety is characterized by stable high productivity due to high ecological plasticity, allowing good results regardless of weather conditions. The roots have an oval-conical shape and are approximately 85% buried in the soil, which promotes good development and quality. The leaf rosette is medium-sized, spreading, and dark green, indicating healthy plant condition.

BUFFEL exhibits excellent resistance to major sugar beet diseases such as rhizomania and cercosporosis, as well as drought and cold tolerance. This makes it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic zones, including the Polissia and forest-steppe regions. The variety also features good storability, facilitating harvest storage and reducing losses during transportation.

Recommended plant density at harvest is 90–115 thousand per hectare, at a sowing rate of 1.3 seeding units per hectare. Root yield reaches 110 tons per hectare, with sugar content around 18%. For successful cultivation, optimal germination temperatures are required — from +5°C, with optimum 13–15°C, and sufficient light, as insufficient light negatively affects sugar content and yield.
