Sunflower Kolyada

Stable yields for diversified farming

The «Kolyada» sunflower variety, developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, is a proven solution for farmers who prioritize consistency and environmental adaptability. With a vegetation period of 110–120 days, this variety fits perfectly into standard crop rotation cycles, ensuring timely harvesting and preparation for subsequent winter crops.

Field performance and agronomics

With a plant height of 180–190 cm, the variety is highly compatible with standard harvesting machinery, reducing grain losses during operation. Kolyada exhibits strong field resistance, which is essential for regions with fluctuating weather patterns during the growing season. In practice, this variety is well-suited for farms utilizing extensive and semi-intensive farming models, effectively utilizing soil moisture and nutrients without requiring excessive fungicide inputs.

Key advantages for your farm

• Operational efficiency: Mid-season maturity allows for better equipment management, preventing bottlenecks during the harvest season.
• Cost-effective production: The variety demonstrates robust genetic potential for high-quality oilseeds, making it a reliable choice for budget-conscious management.
• Soil adaptability: Kolyada performs consistently across various soil types common in Ukraine, maintaining steady productivity even under varying agricultural intensity levels.

Choosing Kolyada means choosing the reliability of Ukrainian breeding. It is an ideal tool for agronomists who aim for high-quality yields and optimized production costs through a proven, adaptive variety.
