Sunflower AS 34104

An ultra-early choice for intensive farming

In a volatile climate with unpredictable moisture levels, selecting the right sunflower hybrid is a strategic necessity. AS 34104 by Aspria Seeds is designed for growers who prioritize predictable performance and the potential for an early market entry. Originator Frederic Poujeaud has embedded genetic traits into this hybrid that effectively mitigate the risks associated with late planting or early frost.

Agronomic profile

The core advantage of AS 34104 lies in its ultra-early maturity. With a vegetation period of 90–100 days, this sunflower fits perfectly into double-cropping systems or farm rotations aiming to clear fields quickly for winter crops. With a plant height of 160–170 cm, it exhibits excellent stand uniformity, which is crucial for efficient mechanized harvesting with minimal grain loss.

Oil content and yield balance

Despite its short growth cycle, the hybrid does not compromise on grain quality. An oil content of 45–50% makes it a highly attractive asset for processors looking for premium raw materials. Unlike mid-season analogs, AS 34104 does not require an excessively long heat accumulation period, allowing it to form high-quality heads even during cooler summers.

• Strengths: Short vegetation period, high commercial yield, convenient plant height for combine harvesting.
• Best for: Regions with short frost-free seasons or as a second-crop choice.

If your goal is a guaranteed return within a tight timeframe, without the risk of an immature harvest ahead of bad weather, AS 34104 is an essential tool for your farm's technological cycle.
