LBMS 1 — a single-seed diploid hybrid of the first generation of sugar beet, created on a sterile type N basis. This medium-maturity hybrid, noted for its yield and sugar content, is characterized by high productivity and sugar quality, making it in demand for cultivation in various regions, including the North Caucasian, Middle Volga, Lower Volga, and Ural regions. The plant is characterized by a stable formation of medium-weight root crops of about 555 grams, which contributes to high yield.

Sugar content in LBMS 1 root crops varies from 17 to 20%, ensuring a high sugar yield during processing. Root crop yield reaches from 292 to 464 centners per hectare, and sugar collection can amount to up to 83 centners per hectare, depending on the region and cultivation conditions. The hybrid demonstrates good resistance to major pathogens, including moderate resistance to root rot and cercosporosis, which reduces crop losses and improves product quality.
