ICB 0805

ICB 0805 is a sugar beet variety intended for cultivation in agriculture to obtain high-quality raw material for sugar production. The plant has a vegetation period ranging from 140 to 155 days. The leaf rosette of the variety is upright or medium-sized with a spreading form and dark green color. The root crop has an oval-conical or conical shape with ridges, white-green color, weighing 300 to 450 grams, with two-thirds buried in the soil. The root crop head is convex, gray-green, and rough, with white and juicy flesh. Sugar content in the root crops reaches 17-18%, ensuring high sugar content and yield potential.

The variety is distinguished by high yield — from 35 to 45 tons per hectare and above. It is drought-resistant, cold-tolerant, and resistant to various diseases, as well as having good storability, making it a reliable choice for medium-term harvesting. The crop is cold-tolerant but requires moisture, especially during seed germination and root crop formation. Optimal growing conditions include liming soils with acidity in the pH range 6.5-7.5. Sowing is recommended at a depth of 6-7 cm when soil temperature reaches 6-8 °C.

To achieve maximum productivity, the seeding rate should be 2 to 10 kg per hectare, with approximately 10 seeds per square meter and 4-5 plants per meter of row length. Plant density before harvest should be 85-100 thousand per hectare. All these characteristics make the ICB 0805 variety an optimal choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality sugar beet yields.
