Developed by the Institute of Sugar Beet of the UAAS, this variety represents a breeding solution focused on optimizing the biochemical composition of the root. Classified as an NZ type (normal-sugar direction), the breeders prioritized achieving high root mass while maintaining a stable sucrose accumulation level.

Morphological Structure and Productivity

The root shape varies from oval-conical to classic conical. This architecture ensures deep soil penetration, minimizing losses during mechanized harvesting, as the root crown rises sufficiently above the soil level. The large size of the root requires strict adherence to agronomic protocols:

• Optimal plant density: 80,000–90,000 units per hectare.
• Excessive density leads to reduced commercial mass, while low density results in overgrown roots, complicating logistics and processing.

Biochemical Indicators and Field Performance

A sugar content range of 17–18% makes this hybrid technologically attractive for processing facilities. The stability of these metrics is rooted in the genetic potential developed by Ukrainian breeders. In practice, this ensures a predictable sugar yield per hectare, provided that fertilizer application schedules are followed to support the root system during the intensive swelling period.

Utilizing ICB 0805 helps mitigate risks associated with uneven moisture levels, thanks to the flexibility of the NZ type, which demonstrates high adaptability to the soil and climatic conditions of Ukraine.
