Description Azimut
Sugar beet variety AZIMUT® is a hybrid developed to achieve high sugar content and stable yields. This medium-maturing variety is characterized by high productivity and significant sugar content in the roots—approximately 16.2%, which ensures sugar collection at the level of 80.4 c/ha. The mass of one root reaches an average of 618 grams, which contributes to efficient industrial cultivation and processing of the crop. The variety is recommended for cultivation in various climatic conditions, particularly in the Krasnodar Krai, due to its adaptability and resistance to adverse factors. AZIMUT® is characterized by high resistance to the main diseases of sugar beet, such as Cercospora, root aphid, powdery mildew, and root rots. These properties significantly reduce the risks of crop losses and ensure production stability. Thanks to the genetic features of the seeds, the variety demonstrates good viability and contributes to improving product quality, which is especially important for technical use in the sugar industry. For successful cultivation of the AZIMUT® variety, it is necessary to follow the classic agro-technology: careful soil preparation, correct choice of sowing method, and care for plants throughout the entire vegetation period. Optimal is dotted sowing with a row width of 45 cm and seed burial depth of 2–3 cm with sufficient soil moisture. In case of lack of moisture, sowing depth increases to 3–4 cm to ensure good germination. The recommended sowing rate is 90–110 thousand seeds per hectare taking losses into account, which allows to obtain maximum yield and high quality of roots.
