Description RMS 133
RMS 133 is a mid-maturing hybrid sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L. ssp. vulgaris var. saccharifera Alef.) intended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth region. This hybrid is distinguished by its high root yield, which averages 376.8 centners per hectare, with maximum indicators reaching up to 533 centners per hectare. The sugar content in the roots is approximately 16.9%, ensuring high sugar collection—up to 74.2 centners per hectare, making RMS 133 a profitable choice for sugar production and agricultural needs.

The RMS 133 hybrid is characterized by good drought resistance and disease resistance of the leaf apparatus, which contributes to a stable harvest under various agro-ecological conditions. It is moderately resistant to cercosporosis, but susceptible to root rots, root eelworm, and powdery mildew, which requires a careful approach to plant protection and agro-technical measures.

Created as part of the selective work of the VNIIS, RMS 133 is part of a series of hybrids aimed at increasing root yield and sugar content, as well as reducing the sugar-free substance content. This makes this hybrid effective and promising for use in the sugar industry and agriculture, ensuring high quality and quantity of products.
