Description PROTINA
Soybean variety Protina is an early-maturing indeterminate variety characterized by a semi-upright plant type of medium height with reddish-brown pubescence. The leaves are small, round-ovate in shape and green in color; the flowers are purple, while the pods have an intense brown color ranging from light to medium. The seeds are yellow, ranging from small to medium size, with a light-brown hilum. The variety was developed by the French company SOCIETE RAGT 2N S.A.S. and recommended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem Region.

Protina is distinguished by its high resistance to lodging, shattering, as well as diseases such as ascochytosis, peronosporosis, and septorios. Moreover, the variety exhibits drought resistance, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. The early maturity of the variety belongs to group "000", which allows its use as a cover crop at sufficient soil moisture levels.

The protein content in the seeds of the Protina variety averages 35.5%, and fat content is 23.9%. The average protein yield reaches 4.8 centners per hectare, and oil yield is 4.6 centners per hectare, indicating the high productivity of the variety. The sowing rate varies depending on the width of the rows: at 45-70 cm, 500,000 seeds per hectare is recommended, and at 15-25 cm, 700,000 viable seeds per hectare. The variety is widely used as sowing material in agro-industrial complexes and farms.
