FULFORD

FULFORD® soybean is a medium-early variety specifically developed for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Central Black Earth and Far Eastern regions. The plant is characterized by indeterminate or semi-determinate growth type, reaching medium or high height. The flowers are purple, leaves are lanceolate-ovate in shape, and seeds are yellow with a yellow hilum. The vegetative period ranges from 100 to 117 days, allowing for effective use of this variety in conditions of the central belt and Far Eastern regions of the country.

FULFORD is distinguished by high yield and resistance to adverse factors such as pod cracking and lodging. Average yield in the Central Black Earth region reaches 25.8 c/ha, and in the Far Eastern region — 22.3 c/ha, while maximum yield indicators in individual enterprises exceed 36 c/ha. A thousand-seed weight varies from 199 to 216 grams, indicating the large-seededness of the variety. Protein content in seeds ranges from 36.8% to 43.4%, and fat content from 18.5% to 23.8%, making FULFORD valuable for the production of food and feed products.

For sowing, it is recommended to observe sowing rates depending on moisture conditions and irrigation: without irrigation — 550–580 thousand seeds per hectare, under irrigation — 500–520 thousand. Sowing depth is 2–4 cm, and row spacing varies from 16 to 38 cm. The optimal temperature for sowing is above 10 °C.
