Soybean Lyana

Compact genetics for efficient farming

The “Lyana” soybean variety, developed by the Federal Scientific Center (VNII Soi), is a practical solution for producers focusing on technological precision. In environments where land efficiency is a priority, this variety offers stability and predictable results within its segment.

Agronomic Profile

The standout feature of Lyana is its controlled growth habit. Reaching a height of 50–60 cm, the plants are inherently resistant to lodging, which facilitates seamless mechanical harvesting. This compact structure allows for optimized seeding rates, ensuring an ideal plant density without the risks associated with overcrowded canopies.

Disease Resistance and Management

The variety’s phytosanitary profile is one of its primary strengths. Lyana exhibits strong resistance to Phytophthora, significantly reducing the necessity for intensive fungicide applications during critical growth stages. However, growers should note its susceptibility to Macrosporiosis; effective field monitoring and proactive defense strategies are recommended to mitigate this specific risk.

Why choose Lyana?

• Ideal height for low-loss mechanical harvesting.
• Verified genetic background from a leading soybean research institute.
• Robust resistance to key soil-borne pathogens.

Lyana is not designed to be a high-stature cultivar, but rather a functional, reliable tool for pragmatic farmers. It serves as an excellent choice for those who prioritize ease of management and stable field performance over extreme biomass growth.
