The Civil soy variety is an early-maturing northern ecotype adapted to long-day conditions. The vegetative period varies by region, ranging from 90 to 108 days. Plants are of medium height, from 75 to 80 cm, with gray pubescence on stems and white flowers. Leaves are wide, oval-elongated, with side leaflets that are sharply ovate. Lower pods attach at a height of 8-14 cm, and the pods themselves are weakly curved with gray pubescence. Seeds are yellow, matte, with a light brown aril; the mass of 1000 seeds varies from 125 to 140 g depending on the growing region. Civil belongs to the grain category and is intended primarily for feed purposes. Protein content in seeds ranges from 30.9% to 39%, while fat content ranges from 19% to 21.1%, making it a valuable source of nutrients. Yield is stable and can average 16-18 c/ha, reaching up to 33-35 c/ha in favorable conditions. Plants are determinate with low to medium branching, facilitating care and harvest. The Civil variety is recommended for cultivation in the Central and Volga-Vyatka regions, where it demonstrates good adaptation and high productivity. Due to its early maturity and resistance to the climatic features of northern zones, this variety is suitable for use in agro-technologies with a short growing season. Its seeds are widely used in the feed industry, ensuring high quality and nutritional value of feeds.
