Tofu variety Turquoise is an indeterminate plant with a very early or early maturity period, ensuring a short vegetative period lasting from 101 to 108 days. The plant is of medium height, reaching about 80 cm, with reddish-brown stem pubescence and lanceolate-lanceolate side leaflets. The flowers of the variety have a purple color, while the seeds are characterized by yellow-green color with yellow hilum.
The variety is distinguished by high protein content in seeds — 36.0%, as well as significant fat level — 22.6%, which makes it valuable for various fields of use. Average yield of the variety in recommended regions is about 26.0 c/ha, while maximum yield indicators reach 43.0 c/ha, which confirms its high productivity and adaptability.
Turquoise is recommended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth region, in particular in the Belgorod region, and is suitable for various agronomic conditions. The variety was developed under the leadership of Yendovitsky V. V. and included in the state register in 2022, which confirms its modernity and reliability for agricultural production.
