The grain sorghum variety "FAKEL" is an early-maturing crop intended for grain forage and food production, particularly for grains. This variety is distinguished by high-quality grain with a siliceous endosperm, ensuring excellent technological and culinary properties. The period from germination to full grain maturity is 88-93 days, allowing for harvest in a short time. Plant height reaches 108-122 cm, and the mass of 1000 grains is approximately 32.4 g.

The yield of the "FAKEL" variety is quite high: grains are harvested at a quantity of 3.5-4.5 tons per hectare, and green mass is 15.2-17.9 tons per hectare. Protein content in the grain varies from 12.7% to 13.0%, while starch content is around 70%. For sowing, a wide-row method is recommended with a row spacing of 70 cm and a plant density of 100-120 thousand plants per hectare. The seed weight rate for sowing is 3.8-4.7 kg of viable seeds per hectare.

The "FAKEL" variety is suitable for cultivation in various regions, including the Middle-Volga and Lower-Volga regions, where it demonstrates stable yield. Due to its characteristics, it is widely used both for fodder and food purposes, making it versatile and in demand among agricultural producers.
