Sorghum SOKRATOR 87

Working with SOCRATOR 87

Vernadsky Crimean Federal University. This is a workhorse for those who prioritize reliable results over experimental traits. With a plant height of 180–200 cm, the crop holds up well under load and does not lodge, which is critical for smooth harvesting operations. From the operator’s seat, you notice the difference: the uniform stand allows you to maintain optimal harvesting speed without unnecessary stops.

Agronomic features and handling

• Vegetation: 120–130 days is the perfect "gold standard." You can complete the harvest before the onset of prolonged rains, which saves time and protects your machinery resources.
• Silage value: The plant has high leaf density, which directly converts into feed quality. The grains have a characteristic dark reddish-brown color, which provides a clear visual confirmation of the ripening stage.
• Maintenance: This variety is low-maintenance. The operator's main task is to adhere to seeding rates and provide basic care. The crop recovers excellently after heat stress.

It does not require specific header adjustments for irregular heights. You get consistent germination and, by autumn, a dense, high-quality biomass. This is exactly the case where the breeding efforts from V.I. Vernadsky CFU deliver the specific results you count on when planning your seasonal feed stock.
