SOKRATOR 87 is a sorghum-sudangrass hybrid, representing a late-maturing culture with high agronomic indicators. The plant is characterized by a medium anthocyanin coloration of seedlings, a long stem with a juicy core, as well as leaves of medium length and width. The panicle of the hybrid is symmetrical; glume scales turn brown upon maturation, while seeds have a reddish-brown coloration. Plant height reaches 220–290 cm, which contributes to good tillering and the possibility of multiple cuttings—2–3 times on dry-farmed and 3–4 times on irrigated lands.

This hybrid is distinguished by high dry matter yield, averaging about 141.7 c/ha across the region, which confirms its effectiveness in agronomic use. SOKRATOR 87 is well adapted to the conditions of the Central Volga region and demonstrates drought resistance and salt stress tolerance, making it a reliable choice for growing in extreme climatic conditions.
