Sorghum Milo W is an early-maturing hybrid of grain sorghum of intensive type, developed in the USA and certified according to the OECD standard. This hybrid is characterized by high plasticity and adaptability to growing conditions, while responding well to improved agrofond. Plant height ranges from 1.0 to 1.1 meters, and the vegetation period lasts from 100 to 115 days. The grain is white with a floury endosperm, ensuring high nutritional value and broad application in food purposes, as well as in starch and alcohol production. Milo W is characterized by high drought, disease, and pest resistance, particularly to the biotypes 'A' and 'C' of the sorghum midge. The hybrid has high milling ability and is easily threshed, making it convenient for processing. The potential grain yield ranges from 100 to 120 centners per hectare, and productive tillering varies from 3 to 5. The 1000-seed mass is 28 grams, protein content in grain reaches 14%, and starch content — 74%. The hybrid Milo W is resistant to lodging and capable of withstanding early sowing in relatively cold soil, expanding its cultivation possibilities under various climatic conditions. Seed packaging is done in 20 kg bags, convenient for storage and transportation. Due to its characteristics and stable genetics, Milo W is a promising choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality grain with high protein and starch content.
