Meteor fungicide is a contact prophylactic agent with copper hydroxide as the active ingredient at a concentration of 770 g/kg, designed for the protection of vineyards, fruit, vegetable, and melon crops from a wide range of diseases, including downy mildew, anthracnose, and black spot. The preparation is released as a wettable powder and packaged in 10 kg bags. Meteor creates a protective layer on the plant surface, which prevents pathogen penetration and ensures reliable disease prevention.
The mechanism of action of the fungicide is based on the fungitoxic effect of copper ions, which upon contact with pathogens are adsorbed by their cells and reach toxic concentrations, preventing spore germination and infection development. The protective action period ranges from 7 to 12 days. Due to high adhesion effect, the preparation is evenly applied to the treated surface, ensuring quality protection without phytotoxicity, which is due to the balanced copper content and the absence of chlorine.
Meteor is widely used in protection systems for various agricultural crops, including apple, pear, peach, hops, blackcurrant, sugar beet, cucumbers, potatoes, tomatoes, cabbage, and onions. It does not cause the development of resistant pathogen forms and does not have a negative impact on the environment. The preparation is also an effective and economically viable component of tank mixtures, making it a universal means for comprehensive plant protection.
