Sorghum grain ES MOUSSON® is a mid-early maturing hybrid sorghum variety intended for cultivation under various climatic conditions in Russia, including forest-steppe and steppe regions. This hybrid is distinguished by high yields even in drought-prone areas, thanks to its high drought tolerance and lodging resistance. Plants reach a height of approximately 125 cm, have a semi-dense panicle of about 28 cm in length, and bear red-cream colored grain.
The grain quality of the ES MOUSSON® variety is characterized by high starch content (about 65.6%) and protein (approximately 9.2%), making it a valuable feed ingredient. The grain is primarily used as a primary protein source for animals, ensuring effective nutrition. The variety also exhibits good resistance to Fusarium, enhancing its reliability and reducing the risk of yield losses.
For sowing, recommended seeding rates vary depending on soil moisture levels: from 160,000 to 280,000 seeds per hectare. ES MOUSSON® is distinguished by high initial growth energy and adaptability to various agronomic conditions, making it a versatile choice for farmers aiming to achieve a stable and high-quality sorghum grain harvest.
